On behalf of our dedicated teachers and administrators at Concordia International School, I would like to extend my warm welcome to you and your family to be a part of our learning community.

CISHK is a quality school with a team of passionate teaching and supporting staff that are committed to inspire educational excellence. For over two decades, we have taken pride in preparing students to successfully embrace real opportunities and challenges in the 21st century. Our North American curriculum is based on best educational practices and the Common Core State Standards. These focus on the four core-academic disciplines; English, Math, Science, and Social Sciences. CISHK also offers electives including Art, Computer Studies, Chinese Studies, and Drama. English is the medium of instruction and conversation at our school. Students develop greater confidence in using English through small class sizes and a rigorous academic program which not only challenges but also inspires all students to excel beyond their expectations. In addition to the school diploma, students also write the College Board SATs, AP and TOEFL as exit qualifications. These tests provide students with globally recognized test scores for admissions to universities around the world. Additionally, CISHK has partnerships with Concordia Universities in the United States; qualifying graduates have a guaranteed acceptance to these American universities and will be eligible for financial scholarship. Over 98% of our graduates continue with their formal studies in universities around the world.

CISHK places great emphasis on student-centered learning. With resource-based instruction (RBI) and inquiry-based learning (IBL), our students are not only meaningfully engaged in their learning, they are trained to become critical thinkers, creative problem solvers and reflective lifelong learners. Our 1:1 MacBook Program integrates technology in teaching and learning of all subject areas. The program allows students to learn through the e-learning platforms with most of class texts, resources and library materials available to students online. In this way, learning is not limited to within school and parents/guardians can also monitor their children’s academic progress through our online network.

CISHK also places great importance on holistic development of students through extracurricular activities. Students enjoy club activities while gaining experiences from our service learning program that are fundamental in developing other skills. Our athletics program also plays an important role in providing a well-rounded approach to student development outside of the classroom. The program contributes a sense of community, where everyone is welcome to pursue their athletic interest and ambitions while giving students the opportunity to participate in various league sports.
